San Jose Boulevard Esplanade Project soon in Antique

The 4.1-kilometer San Jose Boulevard Esplanade Project will soon rise in Province of Antique.



SAN JOSE, Antique - Province of Antique will have its own Esplanade soon after the the P160 million project had its groundbreaking on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Brgy. Dalipe, municipality of San Jose.

The Municipality of San Jose de Buenavista, with the support of the Provincial Government of Antique, initiated the groundbreaking ceremony to upgrade the Barangay Comon-San Pedro coastal road into San Jose Boulevard Esplanade.

The Php 160 million budget was given to the municipality of San Jose through the help of the Antiqueña Senator, Loren B. Legarda, Chairman Committee of Finance, with the support and effort of Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao and former Governor Salvacion “Sally” Z. Perez, representative of Sen. Legarda in the province.




The San Jose Boulevard Esplanade will have a total length of 4.1 kilometers. The International Builders Corporation will be the contractor of the said project.

GROUNDBREAKING: Gov. Dodod Cadiao and Mayor Elmer Untaran led the groundbreaking of P160M Esplanade project.

According to Mayor Elmer C. Untaran, this will be the start of the progress and change in the municipality of San Jose. He also thanked the Antiqueña Senator for helping the municipality to become more progressive.

“More projects will be given to the province this coming year through the support of Senator Legarda,” Gov. Cadiao said.
She also added that San Jose Boulevard Esplanade will soon become a tourist’s area of the province.

The Groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Vice Governor Edgar D. Denosta, SP Members Fernando Corvera, Pio Sumande, Errol Santillan, SP Julius Cezar Tajanlangit, Provincial Administrator Nery Duremdes, Vice Mayor Atty. Felix A. Saldajeno, San Jose SB Members, representatives from DPWH, DENR and others Agencies.[By PIO-ANTIQUE]
