SM City Roxas to start construction this year

The first full scale SM City mall in Roxas City will open in 2018.

CAPIZ - SM City Roxas will soon be a reality after SM Group of Companies have confirmed that it will indeed start the construction of the full scale mall this June 2017.

No less than Roxas City Mayor Angel Alan B. Celino announced the exciting development through his Facebook page.

SM Supermalls representatives Senior Vice President of Operations of SM Supermalls Steven Tan, Kristine Yap - Group Marketing Manager for Visayas 3, and Girlie Liboon - Regional Operations Manager for Visayas 3 made a courtesy call to Roxas City Mayor Angel Alan Celino on Thursday, March 23.

SM City Roxas will rise in a 3.5-hectare lot along Arnaldo Boulevard, in front of Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion (CPC).




Tan revealed that the mall will feature modern cinemas, department store, retail affiliates and stalls. The long awaited construction will start June 2017, with the target opening date on October 2018.

Celino said over The Daily Guardian that the opening of SM Supermalls in Roxas City is another good development for the people of Capiz and nearby provinces.




“The city government welcomed the opening of SM Supermalls here as it creates more employments and more opportunities for the residents and visitors alike,” the mayor said.
