Kevin Ferrer goes to Ginebra in PBA special draft
It looks like Barangay Ginebra will be the team of former UST Tiger Kevin Ferrer after PBA Board of Governors discussed the special draft for Gilas players on Thursday.
Sportswriter Musong Castillo revealed that PBA teams agreed on a special selection process of tapping national basketball team members into the professional league.
They issued the following statement after the meeting:
There's no specifics yet on how they determined the order but reports leaked out that only 3 teams haven't made their choices yet on which of the 13 Gilas members they would pick.
There were also reports that Blackwater got Mac Belo, Phoenix Petroleum picked Matthew Wright and Barangay Ginebra chose Ferrer.
The details of the special draft will be made public just before the regular draft on Sunday at the Robinsons Place Manila, with the announcement to be done in alphabetical order beginning with Alaska Aces and ending with TNT Katropa.
