Reminders for PNPA Cadet Admission Test Examinees

The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) will administer the Cadet Admission Test (CAT) on 28 testing centers nationwide this Sunday, 30 October 2016, and here are important reminders for all PNPACAT 2016 examinees.


The PNPACAT entrance exam is administered to applicants who wants to join the Cadetship Program, which is a government Scholarship Program committed to develop the cadets into public safety service officers imbued with professional competence, management leadership skills, sound moral character, and wholesome personality befitting that of a professional “law enforcer with a heart.”

It provides preparatory education and training of the three uniformed bureaus of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) namely, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

PNPA has already published the list of qualified examinees per region, and if you are one of those who applied, you may check the list HERE.Here are the important things you should be aware of before going to your corresponding testing center:

Reminders

1. PNPACAT will start by 7:00 AM. Be at the Test Centers on or before 7 AM. It's advisable that you come as early as 6 AM. Late comers will be disqualified. Strictly no 2nd batch of Examinees in the afternoon.

2. Applicants who did not receive Notice of Examination (NOE) through their email but included in the list of qualified examinees shall be allowed to take the examination. Applicants without NOE shall be required to present one (1) VALID (with signatures/photo) and LATEST (issued within this year) ID, at least two pieces of 1x1 pictures, and 2x2 pictures with white background and name tag. NO VALID AND LATEST ID, NO EXAM AND STRICTLY NO WALK IN APPLICANTS.

3. What to Wear: To all applicants, no wearing of sandoes, shorts and slippers or sandals during the examination day. Applicants may wear any colored shirts with or without collar and maong pants or slacks.Female applicants may also wear skirts, slacks or maong pants.

4. On the day of examination,applicants must NOT forget to indicate their APPLICATION NUMBER on their respective answer sheets. Application number is indicated on the Notice of Examination (NOE) sent thru your email addresses. And for those applicants without received NOE, the list of qualified applicants with their respective application numbers shall be posted at the receiving area/main entrance of every Test Center. Any applicant who failed to indicate their APPLICATION NUMBER shall be a ground for disqualification of the applicant's answer sheet.Please be guided accordingly.

5.The Cadet Admission Committee has officially declared the transfer of Test Center 23 from Western Mindanao State University to Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, Zamboanga City and Test Center 25 from University of Mindanao, Matina Campus to University of Mindanao, Bolton Campus, Davao City.

PNPACAT 2016 covers the following topics: Communication Skills, Logical and Reasoning Ability, Math and Sciences, General Information and Current Events, and Values and Aptitude for the Service.

Results

Results of October 2016 PNPA CAT is expected to be released by mid-December. Last year, the exam was given October 25 and the list of passers was released December 7.

Successful applicants of the Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) shall qualify to the next selection screening which includes: 1)Physical, Medical and Dental Examination (PMDE), 2)Psychological and Psychiatric Examination (PPE), 3)Agility Test and 4)Interview.
