PESO-Antique to hold Jobs Fair Oct. 26
SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique - The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the provincial government of Antique will hold a jobs fair at the Advance Central College (ACC) Annex in San Jose de Buenavista on October 26.
PESO Designate Myra Estaris Pe said that employers who would like to join the jobs fair may now submit their list of vacancies at the PESO at the capitol so that these could be posted for those job seekers who would be aspiring to be placed out.
She said that the PESO had been helping many job seekers find employment and some of the companies that have availed of their assistance for local placements are the Robinson’s Mall, Esprutinkle that owns a variety of businesses including Goldilocks, and the McDonald’s establishment that is soon opening a branch in Antique.
Meanwhile, the PESO Antique now has 19 active members of which three are based in schools in the province -- the ACC, University of Antique, and St. Anthony’s College.
Aside from the jobs fair, the PESO also conducts career counseling to help graduating high school students be able to identify what courses they would pursue in college. [via PNA]
