WATCH: Fan sings new 'Ginebra anthem' after Game 2 win
A fan of PBA finalist Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings has updated the team's 'anthem' and it went viral as netizens liked the new rendition.
Maria Gracia Gonzales, a certified fan of crowd favorite basketball team, posted in Facebook her own version of the song "Pagnananalo ang Ginebra" by Bayang Barrios after the team won Game 2 of the best of seven Finals series against rival Meralco Bolts.
The original version (Gary Granada also did "Pagnatatalo ang Ginebra" with the same melody), featuring Marlou Aquino, Noli Locsin, Vince Hizon, Pido Jarencio, Benny Cheng, Bal David, Dudut Jaworski, and Coach Jawo in the lyrics, was done in 1997 when Ginebra won the championship against Alaska Aces.
Gonzales' version updated the lyrics to include LA Tenorio, Sol Mercado, Japeth Aguilar, Dave Marcelo, Joe Devance and Mark Caguioa.
