PRC-Accredited CPD Providers for Teachers
PRC has accredited 17 CPD Providers for Professional Teachers last year.
MANILA - Starting 2017, Professional Regulation Commission will implement the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) unit requirements for all professionals registered under the agency, including teachers.
The new policy is in accordance with the new CPD law (Republic Act 10912) passed this July 2016. Under the law, CPD units are mandatory for all professionals before they can renew their PRC identification card.
The law was sponsored by Senator Antonio Trillanes III, who said that through it, "we can provide our professionals with the necessary tools, not only to compete, but also to seize the opportunities ASEAN integration may provide us."
In matrix of PRC Resolution No. 2016-990, Professional Teachers need 45 units of CPD before they can renew their PRC Card. What agency offers the CPD Programs needed to comply this requirement?
PRC and the Board of Professional Teachers have not issued the implementing rules and regulations for the new law yet but we can get a hint on what providers did they accredit last year.
Here's the list of PRC Accredited CPD Providers for Teachers last year. Note that were not sure yet if the same agencies will be accredited for the CPD implementation next year, or if there will be a new list of providers.
